A2Studio Architects

Project Info

A2Studio Architects is a Houston based architecture firm located in the historic Warren building downtown. The principal architect reached out during their renovation as she had seen a conference table that we had provided for another client and liked the basic design. She also wanted a custom credenza and a shelving unit to display awards and office mementos.

One of the interesting things about this conference room is that it might become a private office one day and we designed accordingly. For instance, locks were provided on the credenza and the width of the table was kept to 36” which is a standard dimension for desks.
The shelving unit in the open office area was something she had seen in our showroom. We modified and resized the design to fit this unique office. Used in conjunction with some Herman Miller classics, it created a really eclectic space. In a sea of minimal white architecture firms, this one with its purple walls and custom furnishings, stands out.
An eclectic mix of materials, patterns, furniture, and color makes the space stand out from the expected sea of white.

Testimonial

"What can I say that is not amazing about FMW|FabLab? I had an idea in my head for the new furniture to fill our recently designed, unique office space and had been searching for well over a year. Having met Hillary in the A/E Industry prior to her full time move to FMW|Fablab, it was a no brainer to trust her and Ford and their very talented team. They took that idea in my head and designed three beautiful pieces that far surpassed my original ideas. As an architect, it was fun to be on the other side of the design table. Working with FMW | fablab was such a wonderful experience to see their imagination, problem solving, and attention to every detail to pull this project together. I couldn’t be happier with the new furniture and the entire process of working with their team! Thank you so much for all your hard work and allowing me to showcase it everyday in my office! "
