Sometimes pieces are sturdy once they are fastened into place but flimsy during transport. Such was the case with these three sided, steel elevator surrounds. The solution was to weld supports into place to hold everything taut until it was about to go in and then they were cut off. The supports were welded in places that would never be exposed once the full assembly was fastened into its final resting spot.
